About BrewDose
BrewDose was started in early 2026 by a group of coffee enthusiasts who believed great coffee shouldn't require a chemistry degree. We test brewing methods, review gear across every price point, and share practical tips for better coffee at home. Based in Portland, Oregon, we're obsessed with the perfect pour—from bean to cup.
How we work
Every method we write about gets brewed repeatedly before it becomes an article, usually over weeks rather than an afternoon. That matters more than it sounds: plenty of gear feels brilliant on day one and irritating by day thirty, and the second impression is the one you'll actually live with.
We try to be specific. A guide that says "use water just off the boil" is less useful than one that says 93 °C, and a review that calls a machine "well built" without saying what's plastic and what isn't hasn't told you anything. Where we give numbers, we mean them.
What we don't do: sponsored reviews, affiliate-driven rankings, or "best of" lists assembled from other people's specs. If we haven't used it, we don't rate it.
Get in touch
Corrections are welcome and we publish them. If we got a temperature wrong, a price is out of date, or your grinder does something ours didn't, tell us — that feedback has improved more of these guides than any amount of re-testing on our end.
